The sensible idea
A useful tool that solves a real problem.
Respectable. Clean. Possibly profitable.
The chaotic idea
A productivity app that shouts at you like a disappointed wizard.
Not sensible.
But not automatically bad.
The “I would use this” idea
A website that collects tiny fixes for common builder problems.
Good sign.
If you would use it, someone else might too.
The “this exists but I want my version” idea
That is fine.
Most things already exist.
Your version can still have a different angle, better design, clearer purpose, stronger community, or fewer buttons that look like they were arranged during an earthquake.

How to reply to ideas
Good replies:
That sounds useful. Who would use it first?
The smallest version could be just one page and a signup form.
I like the idea. The name needs work though.
This could be a good weekend prototype.
That sounds chaotic, but in a marketable way.
Not helpful:
Someone already made that.
Better:
Similar things exist, but your version could stand out if it focuses on beginners / speed / design / community / humour.
Ideas do not need to be completely new to be worth building.
They need a reason to exist.
And ideally not look cursed on mobile.
The tiny-step rule
Every idea becomes less scary when you ask:
What is the smallest useful version?
Not the full empire.
Not the giant dashboard.
Not the 47-feature roadmap with animated onboarding and a mascot called Gary.
Just the smallest version.
Example:

Tiny version:
A simple forum with useful categories and starter posts.
That is how things start.
Small. Useful. Real.
Friendly warning
Ideas are fun.
Too many ideas can become a swamp.
Signs you are idea-swamping:
- You keep buying domains
- You keep making logos
- You keep writing launch plans
- You never build the first screen
- You have more project names than finished pages
- You say “this one is simple” while opening 19 tabs
No judgement.
But maybe pick one.
