Website Launch: Share Your New Site With the Forge
Welcome to Launches → Website Launch — the place to share websites that are live, ready to test, publicly viewable, or finally released after spending far too long in the “almost done” zone.
This section is for websites that have made it out of the workshop and into the wild.
Maybe it is polished.
Maybe it is still improving.
Maybe one footer link is looking suspicious but the main thing works.
That is fine.
A website launch does not mean:
Everything is perfect forever.
It means:
The site is live.
People can visit it.
Feedback can begin.
The build has escaped the folder.
That counts.

What belongs here?
Use Website Launch when sharing a live website such as:
- Business website
- Portfolio
- Blog
- Forum
- Community
- Landing page
- Directory
- Tool website
- SaaS website
- Creator website
- Product page
- Brand website
- Resource hub
- Game website
- App marketing site
- Digital product site
- Experimental web project
If people can visit it, understand what it is, and give feedback, it can go here.
If it is still very rough, use:
Build Logs → Work in Progress
If it is ready for public eyes, use:
Launches → Website Launch
If it is somehow both ready and not ready, congratulations. You have built a normal website.
Website launch template
Copy this:
Website name:
Website link:
What it is:
Who it is for:
What is live now:
What still needs work:
What feedback I want:
Built with:
Launch status:
Screenshots:
Example:
Website name:
Fyrbloc
Website link:
https://fyrbloc.com
What it is:
A builder community for creators, coders, designers, indie developers, AI users, and digital makers.
Who it is for:
People building websites, apps, tools, games, scripts, brands, communities, and digital projects.
What is live now:
Forum structure, starter posts, tags, profile fields, rules, announcements, thumbnails, and early community content.
What still needs work:
More templates, real member activity, branded thumbnails, and more resource posts.
What feedback I want:
Is the site structure clear for new members? Does the homepage/community direction make sense?
Built with:
Flarum, PHP, CloudPanel, and too many admin tabs.
Launch status:
Soft launch / early public version.
Screenshots:
Added below.
That is a proper launch post.
Clear. Useful. Not pretending the site arrived from heaven fully responsive.

Before posting your website launch
Do a quick check first.
Basic checks
Homepage loads
Main links work
Mobile view is usable
Contact/support works
Images load
Footer links work
No private test pages exposed
No passwords or keys visible
No obvious placeholder text
If your homepage still says:
Lorem ipsum goes here
or:
TODO: write actual headline
maybe fix that before launch.
Unless your website is about placeholder text.
In that case, strange niche, but continue.
What feedback should you ask for?
Do not just post:
Thoughts?
That can work, but it usually gives vague replies.
Better questions:
Does the homepage explain the website clearly?
Is the main button obvious?
Does the site feel trustworthy?
Is the mobile layout clean?
Is the text easy to understand?
Would you know what to do next after landing on the homepage?
What should I fix before promoting it more widely?
Specific questions get better feedback.
Vague questions get vague fog.
Fyrbloc is trying to reduce fog.
We have enough from unfinished CSS.
Good website launch titles
Use clear titles like:
Launched: My Portfolio Website for UI Design Work
Website Launch: New Community Forum for Indie Game Builders
Launched My Landing Page for a Simple Booking Tool
Website Launch: Free Resource Hub for Web Developers
Soft Launch: My New SaaS Homepage Is Live
Avoid titles like:
Finally done
My site
New thing
Please look
Those titles are tired and need a chair.
Tell people what launched.

What makes a good launch post?
A strong website launch post includes:
A working link
A clear explanation
Who the site is for
What is finished
What still needs work
What feedback is wanted
Screenshots if useful
Tools/stack if relevant
Good launch post:
I launched a portfolio website for my design work.
The goal is to show landing page projects and get freelance enquiries.
I want feedback on:
Homepage clarity
Mobile layout
Project thumbnails
Contact button wording
Not-so-good launch post:
Here is my website:
https://example.com
That gives people almost nothing.
It is a link standing alone in a field.
Give it a coat.
Mention the launch stage
Not every launch is the same.
Use one of these:
Soft launch
Public launch
Beta launch
Version 1
Early access
Portfolio launch
Landing page launch
Community launch
Product page launch
Example:
Launch status:
Soft launch — the site is live, but I am still improving pages and content.
That sets expectations.
It tells people whether to judge it like a finished product or a living build.
Most websites are living builds.
Some are haunted builds.
But we will keep the wording professional.
Screenshots help
Screenshots are useful for:
- Homepage preview
- Mobile layout
- Hero section
- Navigation
- Feature section
- Product page
- Portfolio grid
- Dashboard preview
- Before/after comparison
- Branding direction
Before posting screenshots, hide private info:
Passwords
API keys
Emails
Customer data
Payment info
Private admin panels
Server details
A launch screenshot should show the site.
Not accidentally show your admin session having a small panic.

Website launch checklist
Before posting, check:
Did I include the website link?
Did I explain what the website does?
Did I say who it is for?
Did I mention what is live now?
Did I mention what still needs work?
Did I ask for specific feedback?
Did I include screenshots if useful?
Did I test mobile?
Did I check links?
Did I remove private info?
If yes, launch post is ready.
If no, fix the missing bit first.
A few minutes of checking can save you from replying later with:
Ignore the broken menu.
Ignore the footer.
Ignore the spelling.
Ignore the entire mobile version.
At that point, it may still be a launch.
But it is also a cry for help wearing a URL.
How to reply to website launches
Good replies are useful and specific.
Helpful replies:
The homepage explains the idea clearly. I would make the main button more direct.
The design feels clean, but the mobile spacing under the hero is tight.
The site loads quickly for me. The main thing missing is stronger trust information.
The project is clear, but I would add a short “who this is for” section.
Nice launch. The footer links work and the structure is easy to follow.
Less useful replies:
Looks bad.
Wrong stack.
Nobody will use this.
Just rebuild it.
No.
Review the website.
Do not drop a piano on the builder.
Mini launch prompt
Use this shorter version if you want a quick post:
Launched:
Link:
Built for:
Main goal:
Feedback wanted:
Next update:
Example:
Launched:
A new website for my design portfolio.
Link:
https://example.com
Built for:
Small businesses looking for landing page design.
Main goal:
Show work and get enquiries.
Feedback wanted:
Homepage clarity, mobile layout, and contact button.
Next update:
Add case studies.
Short. Clean. Good.
Final note
Launching a website is a real milestone.
Even if it is a soft launch.
Even if it still needs polish.
Even if one section is sitting there looking unfinished and emotionally complicated.
Share it.
Get feedback.
Improve it.
A website gets better when real people see it.
Build. Launch. Listen. Improve. Launch Again.
